Having worked with a network of brokers, shipyards and marinas on an international level, his expertise in the nautical industry has led the development of HarbourSpot in becoming a truly useful tool for boaters and marinas around the world. Roberto holds a degree in Law from the University of Milan.

In addition to having managed projects and teams for large multinationals in the technology and banking industries, including Olivetti, Olivetti Research, Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini, The Technology Partners, Hewlett-Packard and Be Consulting, Livio has also worked as an advisor for companies in the startup phase, making him a skillful leader for this new activity.
Marcello Ortona CTO and Advisor
A long career in IT design and integration as well as technology consulting gives him the insight to help guide the company through the various phases of growth and development - technological and otherwise. He has covered business development, sales and management roles at leading consulting and IT firms, including Accenture, E&Y, Hewlett Packard and TTP. Marcello holds a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Genoa.
Hannah Werntz Marketing & Web Content Manager
With a background in copy editing and marketing, she coordinates our communications and puts the final touches on content delivered through all our channels. Hannah has a degree in Journalism and Business Administration from Butler University in Indianapolis and a master’s degree in Communications from Colorado State University.
Marta Ortona Marketing & Sales Specialist
Using her knowledge of communications and technology, she helps manage operations behind the scenes and expand our customer outreach activities. Marta has studied Web Marketing and has a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Milan.
Francesco Serafini President & Chairman of the Board
With consolidated experience in both the IT and nautical industry, his unique perspective leads HarbourSpot in achieving our ambitious goal of combining these two different worlds. He has a keen ability to simplify complex issues and drive them to resolution, balance short and long term, define organizational vision and operational direction. He has held a range of executive positions in large corporations, including Hewlett-Packard, as managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Serafini is also a major shareholder and board member for Dominator Yacht International. He holds a degree in Telecommunications from the Politecnico University in Turin.
Fabio Fontana Co-founder & Board Member
Decades of experience serving in a variety of executive and managerial positions in the technology industry, working with groundbreaking Silicon Valley start-ups and navigating his own boat converged in conceptualizing HarbourSpot as a digital hub connecting everyone who loves the water. His background includes leadership roles in sales, marketing and business development at corporations including Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Fabio holds a doctoral degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Pisa. He also studied business management at M.I.T.’s Sloan School of Management and at Stanford University.

Specialized in HR and international business development, plus with years of experience in the travel industry, Marilena advises the company as its talented team continues to grow. Strongly oriented towards business and organization evolution, she constantly follows changes in the market and guarantees motivated teams that are one step ahead.
Massimo Schiattarella Senior Advisor
Massimo brings his experience in finance, IT, in‐sourcing, and M&A to HarbourSpot. With a focus on people value, picking talent and developing strong teams, he ensures it is the best company to work for. He has held multiple executive positions in large banking institutions, including UniCredit Group where he was appointed CEO with the specific role of leading the company in building a global IT company. In September 2013, he was appointed managing director of value transformation services, the new joint venture launched between UniCredit Business Integrated Solutions and IBM.

Roberto Luca combines a life-long passion for boating with proven skills and experience in legal consultancy, advising the HarbourSpot team on how to best manage boats, while docked or cruising, and assist hosts and guests. Since 2004, he has lead his own law firm, which provides qualified legal assistance on all types of legal matters thanks to its wide range of international professional partners. Roberto Luca gained a wealth of experience from working with newspaper and magazine publishers, as well as other companies in the distribution industry.
Eric Buatois Executive Advisor
As a firm believer in innovation and with many years of experience as an active venture capitalist and director of private businesses, he advises the HarbourSpot team with regards to technological development and advancement. Eric received his MSc in Computer Science and Communications Engineering from École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris and completed the INSEAD Advanced Management Program.
Francesco Cerasi Executive Advisor
Francesco is partner in the litigation and regulatory department at DLA Piper and is head of the regulatory and regulated markets department and insurance practice (transactional) within his department. As a litigator and corporate lawyer, he advises HarbourSpot as it grows with regard to legal matters, drafting all regulatory aspects. Francesco graduated cum laude with a degree in law from the University of Rome La Sapienza; he also has degrees in English and Business Law from London Polytechnic and in negotiation from the Southwestern Legal Foundation in Dallas.
